Behold the Twin Cities – Minnesota's largest, most happening urban area. As a major hub for US-based airlines, cheap flights to Minneapolis/St. Paul should be a cinch to find. They'll whisk you straight into a colossal airport that straddles the banks of the Mississippi River. From there, you can go north to Minneapolis, or west to its little brother St Paul. The first is famed for the priceless collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, its inner-city lakes, and the jazz cafés of First Avenue. The second is the state capitol; a town gilded by Neo-Classical domes and awash with enchanting Victorian neighborhoods.
You can chill out and stroll with stunning views of Minneapolis by the Mississippi River Boulevard.
Spoonbridge and Cherry is just one example of the sort of thought-provoking public art you can expect to find in Minneapolis.
Designed by Frank Gehry and home to masterworks of modern art, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum is a must for any culture vultures in Minneapolis.
No airlines have non-stop flights to Minneapolis/St. Paul.
